i used to think i enjoyed doing group projects. but ever since uni, i'm having second thoughts about it. no, it's not because i have sucky group mates, it has nothing got to do with group mates, i just don't like group projects anymore. i'm starting to be more individualistic (don't know if that's a good or bad thing). like it's way easier to work by yourself because you don't have to meet up with anyone, don't have to fit your schedules, don't have to explain what you're thinking, don't have to try to understand what other people are thinking. haha, this is making me sound like i hate people. well, you kinda get my point of view. not that i hate people but people just make things troublesome and people tend to complicate matters.
of course there are still many things that require team effort because it is impossible to do everything yourself. it's just that i'ld rather do work on my own. i only have myself to blame if i don't get things done and it's all within my control when i want to do what.
but this whole not-liking-group-project-thing doesn't apply to things outside of work context - music, camps, fun activities in general. i prefer to work in teams when it comes to music cos you just can't play all instruments at once by yourself. and camps require the combination of ideas and opinions to make it work. many other stuff would require team effort too.
or maybe it's just school work's the problem. hahaha. good conclusion there.
well, whether i like it or not, i have to 'suck thumb' and do my group projects because there'll be many more to come.
just really lacking the motivation now to do all my projects. i mean it's break week. but i know all the deadlines are quickly approaching. so...a student's gotta do what a student's gotta do. and pardon this shallow post.
2 more months to mission trip!
till then,
J.
