today concludes my first week of school.
well, just feeling very thankful. i don't have many friends in uni, or rather, don't have many close friends in uni because it's in my personality to take a LONG time before i can really consider someone to be a close friend of mine. despite that, i'm thankful that God has placed in my life certain people to make my uni life less sad and lonely. i'm thankful for the christian friends i've made in school, you've no idea how happy i am to have christian friends. somehow because we are christians, there's this bond that binds. it's so much easier to be closer to them.
i'm thankful for the modules that i'm taking this sem. thankful that so far i haven't had problems with groupings for projects (although i haven't had lesson for one of my mods so i don't know how the grouping thing would turn out). people usually fear that they get separated from their friends because of random grouping selection. but i on the other hand, worry about how i'm going to form my group if there's no random selection. simply because i bidded alone for my accounting mods. yes call me sad case or whatever. but sometimes it turns out better when you don't know people.
well, i see it as an opportunity for me to really put my trust in God. i prayed that i will look forward to see how God works in me and how God has certain plans for me in this new semester and i'm glad to say i've already felt how He worked. my groupings so far have been kinda settled. for my AIS mod, it was through random allocation. thank God cos i didn't know people well. for my MPW mod, it was another random allocation. well, i bidded with one friend and turns out we were randomly allocated to the same group. another time to thank God. for my finance mod, we get to choose our own groups and i know 2 other people. so we need 1 more person to form a group of 4. ain't that bad since at least i wasn't alone in the class. for my last mod FRA, i can only trust God for an arrangement. either random allocation yet again, or just tagging onto someone's group.
in just the first week of school i've so much to be thankful for and i thought it would be good for me to pen them down. it'll be a good reminder to me in the future(:
and something i always believe in: so what if you are alone in class and go around in school alone, just embrace it cos you know at least you don't always need your friends around you in order to feel confident.
till then,

J.
