a week and a half to the end of my summer commitments!
there'll be the MIC summer production happening this friday night and kidleidoscope's finale on saturday. and finally the long awaited uni-y foc which will be on 5-8 aug. woohoo! after that, it'll be pure celebration(: enjoy the last week of summer hols before all hell breaks lose with school. just kidding. the first few weeks of school will probably be quite slack.
i'm glad everything's finally working out. the summer production isn't in shambles anymore and the faci dance for kidleidoscope is also done. as much as i kinda enjoyed myself along the way with all the camps and activities, i can't wait for them to end. i still like my alone time. okay i love alone time. chilling at home with dramas, or reading a book while sipping on a good drink, or jamming on the piano for no reason.
it's been a rather eventful summer. i guess i won't have much opportunity to do so in the next few summers. a final farewell to freshman year in college!
i've decided to go for mission trips instead of going for ocsp. i probably am able to fulfill my 80 hours of csp through the camps this year. but i really wanted to go for an ocsp originally because i've yet to experience it. i was wondering how i could fit ocsp into my schedule. i ruled out going for ocsp in december because december's too short a break and i usually have church commitments. so my original intention was to go for an ocsp during the summer break next year. but i was thinking about church camp, and probably an internship of sorts and it seemed a bit difficult. then, i realised that why not just go for mission trips. mission trips effectively carry out the same activities as ocsps just that there is the element of sharing the gospel. and isn't that even better? in line with the church's mission's month, i've been hearing much about going for short term mission trips but with a long term commitment. so i've decided that going for mission trips will be more fulfilling than an ocsp.
till then,
J.
