just returned from church camp yesterday. what can i say, church camps are always enjoyable. better than youth camps because we get to room in nice and comfy hotel rooms(: i'm the kind who doesn't like sleeping in sleeping bags and i like toilets to be clean and nice.
comfortable sleeping environment aside, i enjoyed camp because of the fellowship and games. it doesn't happen so often that we get to play games together - card games, ball games etc. and as always, in a relaxed setting of camp, people open up more (myself included). fellowship aside, the messages were interesting. the speaker gave me new perceptions on things and he seemed to have a way of presenting old ideas in new points of view. so you'll be like 'oh yeah, i never thought of it like that before' kinda thing. i hope i'll continue to remember the lessons learned.
so now that church camp's over, i'm kinda getting upset that i only have about 2 months of summer holiday left. okay that sounds like a long time but i'm dreading another semester of uni. i'm just scared to have to study and work again. and my other summer commitments are starting to fall into place so i feel like i don't have much time left. it feels weird that i'm kinda dreading my own choice to join so many school activities. just don't like having to interact with so many people.
oh but an interesting remark that i got from someone whom i first met during a mock camp. it somehow came to the topic of introvert vs extrovert. and so i was saying how i'm quite an extreme introvert, like under the MBTI test thing, my introvert score is like above 80. and she was like 'oh, you don't seem so much like an introvert'. hahahaha. i think having undergone many situations in life and being forced under circumstances and environment, i have forced myself to appear more extroverted than i originally am. hmmm something that i should be proud of. cos in uni you have to learn to be more outgoing (or at least appear to be) so that you can have some friends and survive in class. and i suppose being a dgl and band leader and being the older few in yz has caused me to appear more outgoing.
i'll always remain an introvert, i'm sure. i'll always enjoy spending some alone time reading books and what not. but i guess when circumstances call for it, i can actually break free from that for a while to adapt to the environment. human adaptations for survival. hahaha.
till then,

J.
