yz camp ended yesterday. i really enjoyed myself this camp and i talked to people i didn't really know very well, especially the people in my worship team:D we had great bonding time and i enjoyed working together with the band. thank them for their hard work, having to play 20 over songs:D you people are AWESOME!
i guess after every camp we make new friends and stay bonded together for some time. but after a while, it dies away, something which we try to correct every year but it almost always fails. i think it's because of the environment we are in. like in camp setting, i myself have to agree, that i'm more relaxed, more open to talking, less formal, as compared to normal sundays in church. i don't know how to change this phenomenon, cos i'm a very awkward person. although it was my 3rd time being in worship comm for camp, every experience is different and i felt like this year's one was the most fun for me(: really appreciated all those who worked alongside in worship. and also the whole camp comm for everyone's hard work to pull the whole camp together. not forgetting group leaders, station masters. again in an activity like this, we see a community of people working together, it's a beautiful scene.
being the older ones in yz now, makes me look back on when i was still one of the younger ones in yz. i think age really changes a person. i remember my first yz camp when i was 13. i was very quiet and i probably didn't utter a word, typical me. but now, i'm more willing to take the initiative to talk to new people, to the younger ones and lead the group in one way or another. i dare say i'm bolder and friendlier. because i'm older, i'm less afraid to talk to younger people as compared to when i was the youngest, it's intimidating to talk to a whole bunch of older people.
it's sad that the year's ending cos it'll mean that school's starting. but it's scary that in 2 weeks, 2012 will come to a close. it didn't seem too long ago that i ended my A levels last year. i guess times fly past quickly in uni.
till then,

J.
