it's the end of the semester (besides exams). and i can't believe I'm kinda done with one year of uni. not a freshman anymore, entering sophomore year in aug. can't can't can't believe it. i guess the times in uni will really fly by, cos each semester is so short. well, i'm a step closer to my summer hols!
since i only have 3 exams, i've actually completed 1.5 modules as of now. i feel so accomplished for completing my Academic Writing (AW) assignment. the AW journey has finally come to an end. useful course i would say, but nah i'm not going to go through that shit again. actually it applies for all the courses. i'm always glad i'm done. never wanna look back. haha. but what others said about AW being such a nightmare, when you actually experience it yourself, it ain't that bad. i don't stay up late to complete the assignments, neither do i wake up early to complete it. that's just me. i can never miss my sleep because of school work. not worth it.
so the next 2 weeks are meant for us to study. i really need it, but i hope i make good use of my time. i mean, typical me would waste like half the time doing nothing/nonsense.
random: i'm excited to go meet my friends in nus in the coming week. haha. fake being an nus student for a day, looking at the people and eating the food. lame things i like to do with my friends.
i'm thankful for the semester that has just passed. i thank God for providing me with friends, christian friends. thank God for similar friends who share same beliefs and interests. thank God for seeing me through my first year of uni, for being able to adapt. there are many things to be thankful for. and taking a step back, i guess everything that happens, even where you choose to sit for your first lesson in the course, is all in God's plan. i mean who knew that the person who chose to sit beside me in bizlaw cos we didn't know anyone else in the class, and the group mates we chose, would end up being such awesome people. interesting how things turn out.
university isn't very fun, neither is it interesting or easy. but i guess i'll learn. learn to trust that God will provide (for friends, for grades, for whatever else...) and i'll really appreciate and make full use of my summer break - to slack, to chill, to meet with friends, to go on holiday, to do things i love, to explore other interests. can't wait!
till then,

J.
