so i just got a 13" macbook pro! yay! and the speed is so much better than my original 5 year old laptop. finally i get some efficiency. still trying to get use to the mac way of doing things, but i must say, it's rather easy to adapt to. they live up to the whole "idiot-proof" thing.
university is gonna start in 2 months' time. and now i'm alr starting to sign up for the freshman camps and what not. i'm hoping that all these camps will be fun and that i don't freak out at meeting too many new people. i guess it's a happy thing to make more friends and widen my social circle since being in an IP school, i've allowed my social circle to stay stagnant for 6 years...which is not a good thing. haha. it's time to throw myself out there to meet the world! (as if..)
i should probably write things that are of more substance and more reflective in style so that my writing skills (which weren't fantastic to begin with) will not deteriorate.
i enjoyed this quote that i picked up from the sermon yesterday, "The Bible is the way God has graciously chosen to reveal Himself to us". indeed, that's the worth of the Bible and why it should be treasured. i shared it with my girls during bs yesterday. hopefully they see the beauty of the quote as much as i appreciated it. anyway, sermons are the best time to draw out meaningful and interesting quotes that prod you to think further, or help you better understand something or someone. i think sermons are the only time that i pay such close attention to the speaker, listening out for beautiful phrases to jot down.
since now i only need to go to work twice a week, i shall make use of my time to enjoy the time i have alone or doing more interesting things like researching on a particular topic (controversial issues in christianity, building up my historical knowledge etc)
when that happens, i think i'll probably come back here to share my thoughts. quite cool to at least work your brain through blogging.
till then,

J.
